Valerie A. Higgs, Pianist

Valerie A. Higgs is an award-nominated music director, pianist, and educator whose work spans professional and youth musical theater. She has directed and accompanied productions for theater companies throughout the Washington, DC area, as well as Chicago, Philadelphia, and NYC. Valerie’s achievements include Broadway World and WATCH Award nominations and a DC Metro Theater Arts “Best of 2012” honor for Quotidian Theatre’s production of James Joyce’s The Dead.  She has served as accompanist for vocalists and instrumentalists, director and accompanist for various choirs, and principal pianist for Argentine tango ensembles including the Tango Mercurio Ensemble and the DC Tango Orchestra.
